My father used to get a lot of "form" letter responses to his numerous letters to his representatives. But sometimes he riled them up to the point where they addressed his concerns directly; and my husband wonders where I get my "flaming liberal" tendencies.

MB - we need to find more of Dad's letters!! Are there more boxes in John's attic? I will go on an digging expedition with you...

(btw - did you ever hear the story of how dad became friends with blab bbs crew? it is so "dad" it makes me cry. basically he set his modem to dial bbs's listed in "boardwatch" magazine and when he got to blab he couldn't log in. but he perservered. they were so in awe of his tenacity they welcomed him and the rest is history. i will find the email exchange about it...

oooh - goodie! i haven't been sleeping great lately - might need to grab a stack to entertain me!!
